January 18, 1994 BIR RULING [UN-020-94] Tsukiden Electronic Industries, Inc. 12 21st Avenue, Cubao Quezon City Attention: Mr . Allan P . Timonera Finance & Adm . Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated October 7, 1992, addressed to the Revenue District Officer of Revenue District No. 30-A, Quezon City, requesting authority to adopt a computer-based accounting system. Specifically, the following are the books of accounts to be computerized: aisadc 1. Cash Receipts Book 2. Cash Disbursements Book 3. General Journal 4. Sales Book 5. General Ledger In reply, please be informed that your request is hereby granted subject to the following conditions, viz: (1) A readable print-out of the information/accounting data should be made available/verifiable; and (2) Diskettes containing records, classification and summary of transactions shall be subject to examination and inspection of internal revenue officers as if they are the traditional books of accounts, in accordance with Section 235 of the Tax Code, as amended.
