January 7, 1994 BIR RULING [UN-011-94] The Red Kettle Company, Inc. Rm. 305-A Bonaventura Plaza Ortigas Ave. Greenhills San Juan, Metro Manila Attention: Ms . Ruby de Mesa Borja Vice-President/Treasurer Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated December 17, 1993, addressed to the Revenue District Officer of Revenue District No. 31, Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, requesting to adopt a computer based accounting system starting January 1, 1994. In reply, please be informed that your request is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: 1) A readable print-out of the information/accounting data should be made available or verifiable; and 2) Diskettes containing records, classification and summary of transactions shall be subject to examination and inspection of internal revenue officers as if they are the traditional books of accounts, in accordance with Section 235 of the Tax Code.
