January 24, 2020 BIR RULING NO. OT-033-2020 AAA ____________________ ____________________ Mobile No. 0000-000-0000 Madam : This has reference to the letter sent to the Presidential Complaint Center stating that your husband witnessed the killing of BIR Regional Director Jonas Amora and by reason of which, useful information that led to the arrest of the alleged gunman was provided. As stated in the letter, you now wish to claim the monetary rewards as stated in the News. In reply, please be informed that a quick research on the internet, specifically in http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/11/21/16/p1-m-raised-for-leads-on-killing-of-bir-exec, will show that it is the Department of Finance which stated that it will give out a reward to be provided by an "individual in a private sector." Hence, we suggest to address the claim to the Department of Finance. Thank you. Very truly yours, (SGD.) CAESAR R. DULAY Commissioner of Internal Revenue
