November 3, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 654-58 Mr. Bernardo Acena Bureau of Plant Industry Manila S i r : In answer to your letter dated July 28, 1958 requesting information as to the rate of the specific tax on alcohol produced from cassava tubers, I have the honor to inform you that the specific tax on alcohol produced from the sap of cassava, or nipa, coconut, camote or buri palm, or from the juice, syrup, or sugar of the cane is P.45 per proof liter.
