November 27, 1959 BIR RULING NO. 601-59 Mr. Edgardo C. Ledesma Associated Investments Company (Attorney-in-fact for: Watts Selective Philippine Timber Co., Inc.) Zamboanga City S i r : In answer to your letter dated November 18, 1959 relative to our ruling no. 578, series of 1959, issued to General Enterprises, Inc., I have the honor to inform you that if a bonafide agency relationship exists between yourselves and the General Enterprises, Inc., your exportation of your logs, thru the latter, remains exempt from the sales tax even if the letter of credit as well as the commercial and consular invoices and other documents are issued in its name.
