October 26, 1959 BIR RULING NO. 530-59 National Shipyards & Steel Corporation Engineer Island, Manila Attention : Vicente Serrano Gentlemen : In reply to your letter of the 20th instant, I have the honor to inform you that the marine type electric fans, electric refrigerator, galley range and ovens, designed specially for sea use, imported by you to be installed in vessels you construct for sale, are subject to 7% advance sales tax, the same to be based on the landed cost thereof plus 25% mark-up. aisadc Very truly yours, (SGD.)
