September 5, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 499-58 Messrs. Meer, Meer & Meer Suite 302-306 Singson Bldg. Plaza Moraga, Manila Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated August 15, 1958, I have the honor to inform you that the importations of your client, the Portland Cement Co., Inc., of gypsum which are used by it in its manufacture of cement are subject to the advance sales tax.
