August 28, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 477-58 New Era Brokerage Company Rm. 201, 434 Rosario Street Manila Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated March 7, 1958, I have the honor to inform you that for purposes of computing the advance sales or compensating tax, customs duties paid on the imported articles form part of the total landed cost thereof. Accordingly, additional customs duties collected by the Bureau of Customs as a result of the appraisal of imported goods under the provisions of Section 201 of the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines must be included in the total landed cost thereof. cdll Very truly yours, (SGD.)
