September 17, 1959 BIR RULING NO. 470-59 Sanford Tobacco Company, Inc. 1529 A. Mabini Caloocan, Rizal Attention : Eugene K . Lim Gentlemen : Reference is made to your letter of May 22, 1959, requesting the reconsideration of our decision of May 7, 1959, denying your request to use labels of different color backgrounds for your "San Miguel" cigarettes. In reply thereto, I have the honor to inform you that since the additional labels with different color background submitted by you also conform with the requirements of Revenue Regulations No. V-47 of the Department of Finance, the use thereof is hereby authorized, without prejudice however to any action that may be taken thereon by the Patent Office.
