December 29, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 456-61 In reply to your letter . . . , I have the honor to inform you that electro-plates, either metal, plastics, or simple negatives, used in the printing of textbooks, received by you from abroad are subject to the 7% compensating tax prescribed in Section 190, in relation to Section 186, both of the Tax Code. Said tax is computed on the total landed cost thereof plus freight, postage, insurance, commission and all similar charges. prll
