Balmaceda 24 South I, Diliman Quezon City S i r : In reply to your letter dated January 16, 1958, I have the honor to inform you that the retirement benefits you received from the Government Service Insurance System upon your retirement from the service on June 1, 1957 are exempt from the income tax pursuant to Section 28(c) of Commonwealth Act No. 186, as amended by Republic Acts Nos. 660 and 728.
