July 1, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 359-58 The Philippine Manufacturing Co. P. O. Box 302, Manila Gentlemen : In answer to your letter of the 23rd ultimo, requesting authority to release the films consigned to you by your principals abroad without the prepayment of the specific tax due thereon, I have the honor to inform you that your request is hereby granted, provided that, as proposed in your said letter, a representative of this Office shall be invited to view those films when the same are shown and that a bond is filed by you to secure payment of the specific tax due thereon, should this Office finally decide that the films in question are not educational films or those used for visual education.
