June 10, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 311-58 Lt. Col. Arturo delos Reyes Inf., Deputy & Ex. O., RDD Armed Forces of the Philippines Camp Murphy, Q. C. S i r : In reply to your letter of even date, I have the honor to inform you that all purchases made by the Armed Forces of the Philippines exclusively for military purposes are exempt from tax. Accordingly, if the twenty 200-liter drums of denatured alcohol, 189 proof with 2% methanol and % pyridine denaturants that your Office intends to purchase from STALCO, will be used exclusively for military purposes, the same is exempt from tax.
