May 30, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 306-58 James L. Irvins, M.D. c/o Far Easter Gospel Crusade P. O. Box 1831, Manila S i r : In answer to your letter of the 28th instant, requesting exemption from the occupation tax imposed upon medical practitioners by Section 182(B)(1) of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended, I have the honor to inform you that, on the assumption that the Far Eastern Gospel Crusade is a religious organization not conducted for private gain and that your entire professional services are devoted exclusively thereto, your said request is granted, pursuant to Section 182(C)(7) of the same Code. cdll Very truly yours, (SGD.)
