May 27, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 303-58 Mr. Jesus E. Villamor P. O. Box 65, Cebu City S i r : In reply to the query contained in your letter dated May 13, 1958, I have the honor to inform you as follows: Pensions, compensation, allowance and other benefits received by a resident veteran, payment of which is made under any law of the United States Administered by the United States Veterans Administration are exempt from income tax, pursuant to Section 1 of Republic Act No. 360. In view of the foregoing, pensions received by a resident veteran from the United States Government thru the United States Veterans Administration are exempt from income tax. prll Very truly yours, (SGD.)
