August 24, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 282-61 Reference is made to your letter . . . , requesting the release, free of the compensating tax, of your car (Buick, 4-door Sedan Hardtop, Model 1960) from the Supply Depot of the U. S. Navy, Subic Bay, Zambales. You stated that you are a naturalized American citizen enlisted in the U. S. Navy, in support of which you submitted a certificate to that effect signed by Lt. R. I. Iverson of the Supply Corps. U. S. Navy, and that said car will be used by you during your stay in the Philippines. In answer thereto, I have the honor to inform you that, based on your representations and pursuant to Article XII, paragraph 3, of the U.S.-Philippine Military Bases Agreement, your request is hereby granted. cdphil
