August 16, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 279-61 In reply to your letter . . . , I have the honor to inform you that the vessel imported by your company for use in its shipping business, including its parts and accessories, is exempt from the compensating tax pursuant to Republic Act No. 3176. This will serve as authority for the Collector of Customs for Cebu City to effect the release of the vessel, including its parts and accessories, free from the compensating tax. cdrep
