June 16, 1960 BIR RULING NO. 275-60 The Director Bureau of Public Works M a n i l a S i r : This is in answer to your letter inquiring about the tax your Bureau shall withhold from the payments it will make to the Reynolds Philippine Corporation under the "proposed" contract whereby the latter will, for a price, undertake to manufacture "aluminum ingots", to be furnished by your Bureau, into plain and corrugated aluminum sheets for the use of your Bureau in the "construction of warehouses at Pier 5, South Harbor, Port Area, Manila". The tax to be withheld by your Office shall be three per cent 3% of the payments to the Corporation under the contract. liblex Very truly yours, (SGD.) MELECIO R.
