Visaya Secretary Gentlemen : With reference to your letter dated May 19, 1959, I have the honor to inform you that as the so-called mild steel and brass stove bolts ("3 Uroko" brand) appear to be of the ordinary type for general utility, they are subject only to 7% advance sales tax. However, switch plugs, cord switches and switches plugs ("Bryant" Brand) are clearly accessories of electrical appliances, in view of which, they are subject to 30% advance sales tax pursuant to section 185(i) of the Tax Code, as amended.
