June 29, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 250-61 Choi Sing Buddhist Temple, Inc. 845 Vermont Street Manila Gentlemen : In answer to your letter dated June 27, 1961 requesting exemption from the filing of the yearly income tax return and from the payment of the income tax, I have the honor to inform you that in view of the fact that upon investigation conducted by this Office you were ascertained to be a corporation organized and operated exclusively for religious purposes no part of your net income inuring to the benefit of any of the stockholders or members, you are, therefore, exempt from the payment of the income tax.
