June 6, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 215-61 Prudential Bank and Trust Company Roman R. Santos Bldg. Manila Gentlemen : With reference to your letter dated April 26, 1961, offering to pay part of your 1960 income tax with PNB Check No. 0441148 in the sum of P92,269.53, I have the honor to inform you that, upon investigation conducted by this Office, it was ascertained that the aforesaid PNB Check is one among those awaiting redemption for alleged lack of funds at the time of their issuance in 1958 hence, dishonored. Consequently, I regret to have to inform you that this Office cannot accept the aforementioned check in partial payment of your 1960 income tax obligation to the Government. prcd Very truly yours, (SGD.)
