April 27, 1959 BIR RULING NO. 215-59 Mr. Leon Gatmaytan Chief, Home Industries Division Bureau of Public Schools M a n i l a S i r : In reply to your letter dated March 19, 1959, I have the honor to inform you that inasmuch as the creation of the National Crafts Marketing Center by the Director of Public Schools is for the purpose of promoting home industries throughout the country as envisaged by Republic Act No. 414 and not for profit, the Center will not be subject to any internal revenue tax.
