Angeles Secretary Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated November 22, 1958, I have the honor to inform you that the medicated facial cream known as "KORURYO Medicated Cream" which you will import from Japan for sale in this country and which, as represented by you, is used for beautifying the skin, arresting sunburns and windburns, alleviating prickly heat, burns, cuts and scratches, and preventing chapping of the skin is a toilet preparation subject to the 50% tax based on its total landed cost plus 100% mark-up, pursuant to sections 183(b) and 184(c) of the Tax Code. cdtech Very truly yours, (SGD.)
