May 9, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 201-61 The Airport Manager Pan American World Airways, Inc. Manila International Airport S i r : In answer to your letter requesting this Office to advice the Deputy Collector of Customs at the Manila International Airport that the "aircraft engines, parts, accessories, ground equipment and supplied of a general nature necessary for the operation of in international airline" which your corporation will import are exempt from the payment of tax, please be informed that your corporation is exempt from the payment of internal revenue taxes for importing the said articles, pursuant to Section 12 of the corporation's franchise (Act 4249), provided that the same were imported and used exclusively by your corporation in connection with its franchise and prior to the expiration thereof.
