Box 7070 Airmail Exchange Office 3120 Pasay City S i r : This refers to your letter dated August 27, 1981 requesting tax exemption on the donation/contributions from local firms in support of the 9th World Assembly of the International Council of Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association which will be held on June 14 to 21, 1982 at the Philippine International Convention Center. In reply, please be informed that for lack of legal basis, the abovesaid donations/contributions, except net gifts made during the calendar year which do not exceed P1,000.00, shall be subject to the rates of donor's tax in Section 121 of the Tax Code, as amended and shall not be allowed as deduction in computing the donor's income tax. cdtech Very truly yours, RUBEN B.
