May 30, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 198-61 The Victory Business Agency 2nd Floor, The Remnants Center Bldg. 823 Juan Luna Street Manila Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated May 24, 1961, I have the honor to inform you that this Office cannot authorize the sealing of locally manufactured meter sticks which, as stated in your letter, were found to be defective. Section 297 of the Tax Code even prohibits the use of weights and measures which have been previously sealed but due to deterioration or damage have become defective or inaccurate. cdti Very truly yours, (SGD.)
