Patalinjug Executive Officer S i r : In reply to your letter dated April 5, 1960, I have the honor to inform you that checks issued by your Office which is a government entity, in payment of the salaries of your fieldmen in the provinces are exempt from the documentary stamp tax prescribed in section 216 of the National Internal Revenue Code.
