April 25, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 145-61 The President Federation of Virginia Tobacco Facomas, Inc. Agoo, La Union S i r : I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated April 12, 1961 and to inform you that, inasmuch as the Federation of Virginia Tobacco Facomas, Inc. is duly established to have been organized under the provisions of Act No. 3425, it is exempt from, among others, the income tax, pursuant to Section 48 of said Act, as amended by R.A. No. 702. In the light of the foregoing, the Federation is relieved from the obligation of filing returns of income unless it changes the character of the organization or operations or the purposes for which it was originally created.
