March 17, 1959 BIR RULING NO. 145-59 The Interisland Merchandise Mart 266 Metropolitan Avenue Makati, Rizal Gentlemen : In reply to your letter of November 25, 1958, I have the honor to inform you as follows: If no sale is made by your main office at Makati, Rizal, only your selling establishment at Cebu City should keep and use the books of accounts and accounting records required by Section 334 of the Tax Code and the Bookkeeping Regulations. On the other hand, if sales are made by both your main office and your branch establishment, the two establishments must keep and use the said books of accounts and accounting forms.
