March 22, 1960 BIR RULING NO. 134-60 Tax Service of the Philippines, Inc. Floor Three, MRS Building Plaza Cervantes, Manila Gentlemen : In answer to your query regarding Section 13 of Republic Act No. 2343, please be informed that a corporation with fiscal year ended on July 31, 1959 shall be subject to the increased income tax rates expressly provided in said Act. Please note that the increased rates are applicable, under the law, to fiscal periods ending (not beginning) after June 30, 1959. cdll Very truly yours, MELECIO R.
