March 22, 1961 BIR RULING NO. 124-61 Mr. Donato M. Cariasco Bayombong, Nueva Viscaya S i r : In reply to your letter dated February 17, 1961, I have the honor to inform you that retirement benefits under Commonwealth Act No. 186, as amended by Republic Acts Nos. 660 and 1616 are exempt from tax.
