June 29, 1983 BIR RULING NO. 121-83 Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated March 24, 1983 requesting exemption from specific tax on your importation of raw stocks of film negatives, sound recording negatives, film positives, magnetic tapes, audiovisual tapes and all other imported cinema raw materials for the production of ECP (Experimental Cinema of the Philippines) films, please be informed that pursuant to Section 10 of Executive Order No. 770 dated January 29, 1982 reading "Sec. 10. Exemption from taxes . . . . "The Cinema, its assets, acquisitions, income and its operations and transactions shall be exempt from any and all taxes , fees, charges, imposts, licenses and assessments, direct or indirect imposed by the government or any its political subdivisions, including import taxes, duties and fees."
