March 16, 1988 BIR RULING NO. 096-88 101 000-00 096-88 Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated January 26, 1988, please be informed that as importer of Industrial Essential Oil, Artificial Flavour and Food Additives (DC Compound 05888), your client, Actron Industries, Inc. is subject to the value-added tax (VAT) at the rate of 10% based on the total value used by the Bureau of Customs in determining tariff and customs duties, plus customs duties and other charges pursuant to Section 101 of the Tax Code as amended by Executive Order No. 273.
