February 16, 1959 BIR RULING NO. 083-59 The City Jail Cooperative Association City Jail Compound, Manila Gentlemen : This is in connection with your request for exemption from payment of internal revenue taxes under the provisions of Republic Act 2023. The Cooperative Administration Office in its letter dated September 22, 1958 certified that your association is registered with and is under the direct supervision of said office. The president of your association also certified that the total value of your net assets is only P7,700.72. cdpr In view of the foregoing, you are exempt from payment of internal revenue taxes pursuant to the provisions of Section 66 of Republic Act 2023.
