Sibuyo Finance Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated November 5, 1993, requesting authority to print billing invoice in loose leaf forms and to use printed computer forms (continuous forms) in lieu of the following registered columnar books: 1. Sales Registry (Sales Book) 2. Receipts Book 3. Disbursements Book 4. Purchases Book 5. Journal 6. Ledger In reply, please be informed that your request to use printed computer forms in lieu of the above columnar books is hereby granted subject to the following conditions, viz: (1) A readable print-out of the information/accounting data should be made available/verifiable; and (2) Diskettes containing records, classification and summary of transactions shall be subject to examination and inspection of internal revenue officers as if they are the traditional books of accounts, in accordance with Section 235 of the Tax Code, as amended. With respect however, to your request for authority to print billing invoice in loose leaf forms, you are informed that the printer is the one who should file an application for authority to print receipts, sales or commercial invoices with the Revenue District Officer of the place where the principal place of business of the printer is located, pursuant to Revenue Regulations No. 2-78. cdt Very truly yours, LIWAYWAY VINZONS-CHATO Commissioner of Internal Revenue
