February 6, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 071-58 The First National City of Bank of New Work Port Area Branch, Manila Gentlemen : With reference to your letter requesting permission to unlock Pitney Bowes Meter Machine No. 19023 in order that said machine may be examined by Maranan & Co. with a view to adjusting whatever mechanical defect the machine may have, I have the honor to inform you that your request is hereby granted under the following conditions: 1. That the said meter machine shall be unlocked and the readings recorded in the record card by our cashier in the presence of the Auditor General or his representative. 2. That the repair of the said machine shall be made in the presence of an agent of this Office; and 3. That the machine after having been repaired shall be relocked by the cashier in the presence of the Auditor General or his representative to insure that the readings of the machine are the same as those when the machine was unlocked. cdt Very truly yours, (SGD.)
