January 30, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 054-58 Honorable Emmanuel Pelaez Senate Manila S i r : I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated January 22, 1958 and to inform you that copra, even under the provisions of Republic Act No. 1612, is exempt from the sales tax when sold in this country by the producer thereof or owner of the land where produced.
