March 17, 1983 BIR RULING NO. 041-83 Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated February 23, 1983, I have the honor to inform you that monthly pension received by retired military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) under Republic Act No. 340 is exempted from income tax pursuant to Republic Act No. 2310, and should, therefore, be excluded from the gross compensation income. cdt Very truly yours, (SGD.)
