January 17, 1958 BIR RULING NO. 034-58 International Watch & Jewelry Store Corner Juan Luna & Manalili Streets Cebu City Attention : Messrs . Yu Am Me & Ching Ong Gentlemen : In reply to your queries dated December 17, 1957 and January 4, 1958, I have the honor to inform you that imported wall clock cases and spare parts, as well as watch spare parts and cases of any make, are subject to an advance sales tax of 30%, based on the total landed cost thereof plus 50% mark-up, pursuant to Section 183(b) in relation to Section 185, both of the Tax Code.
