February 2, 1988 BIR RULING NO. 022-88 103 (c) 000-00 022-88 Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated January 13, 1988, in effect, requesting a ruling that your importation of insecticide called Trebon 10 EC is exempt from the value-added tax. It is represented that Trebon 10 EC, is an insecticide which is one kind of pesticide that acts as contact and stomach poison to various insect pests of rice. Such being the case, it is exempt from the value-added tax pursuant to Section 103(c) of the Tax Code, as amended by Executive Order No. 273. This serves as authority for the release from Custom's custody of the aforesaid importation of Trebon 10 EC covered by Bill of Lading No. B/L No. KMA-120 without payment of the value-added tax. aisadc Very truly yours, (SGD.)
