Box 1400 Manila S i r : In answer to your letter dated February 8, 1963, I have the honor to inform you that the movements for battery clocks imported by that company and which arrived aboard the S/S "Harquesian Maru" under Bill of Lading No. 8 for use as accessories of table-medal-radio sets to be manufactured by it, are subject to 30% advance sales tax, based on the total landed cost thereof plus 50% mark-up, pursuant to Section 185(b), in relation to Section 183(b) of the Tax Code. cdtech Very truly yours, (SGD.)
