May 17, 1999 BIR RULING [DA-297-99] Mr. Martino G. Guerrero Presidential Assistant Office of the President of the Philippines Malacaang, Manila S i r : This refers to your letter dated April 16, 1999 endorsing to this Office the letter dated March 16, 1999 of Mrs. Erlinda B. Causapin who is seeking your assistance for the payment of her reward as the informer who furnished the information which led to the recovery of taxes against a tax evader. In connection therewith, please be informed that we have already sent to the Department of Finance on December 10, 1998 the papers bearing on the aforesaid claim for approval by the Secretary of Finance pursuant to Section 282(A) of the Tax Code of 1997. Attached herewith is a xerox copy of said letter for your guidance and ready reference. We have also advised the representative of Mrs. Causapin to follow-up the matter to the Department of Finance, furnishing her a copy of our letter of December 10, 1998.
