June 10, 1998 BIR RULING [DA-230-98] 2nd Indorsement June 1, 1998 Respectfully referred to the Chairman, Commission on Audit, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, the 1st Indorsement dated April 6, 1998 of the Central Financial Management Office, Department of Finance, Manila, requesting comment and/or recommendation on a draft Administrative Order creating the Regional Committee to coordinate the 1998 celebration of the Centennial of the Philippine Independence in all local levels specifically Section 3 thereof which states as follows: "SEC. 3. The Regional Committee Chairman is hereby authorized to call upon any government agency or instrumentality and to invite private individuals and organizations to assist it carry out centennial projects and activities in the local levels. prcd All concerned Government Agencies are hereby authorized to allocate from their respective fund any amount which they may deem necessary to ensure the successful celebration of the Centennial of Philippine Independence, subject to the usual auditing rules and regulations ".
