Box 90, Quezon City S i r : This refers to your letter dated April 15, 1975 requesting information as to the rate of advance sales tax due on your incoming importation of various road wheels. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that it appearing in the brochure submitted that the imported road wheels are those that are generally used and applicable to light trucks such as jeeps, Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol, IH Scout as well as some American and Japanese trucks, the same are subject to the 7% advance sales tax, the tax to be based on the landed cost thereof plus 25% mark-up pursuant to section 183(b) in relation to Section 186, both of the Tax Code.
