Box 88 Commercial Center Makati, Rizal, D-708 S i r : This refers to your letter dated September 28, 1970 requesting information as to the correct rate of advance sales tax due on imported plastic jar and plastic tube which are used as containers for food, pharmaceutical and allied products. aisadc In reply, I have the honor to inform you that imported plastic jar and plastic tube of the types submitted which are used as containers for food, pharmaceutical and other products are subject to the 7% advance sales tax based on the landed cost thereof plus 25% mark-up, pursuant to Section 183(b) in relation to Section 186, both of the Tax Code, as amended.
