Cruz of 7969 Lopez Jaena, San Dionisio, Paraaque, Rizal, which was referred by your radio station to our Office; requesting advice on whether retirement pay is subject to income tax. aisa dc In reply, I have the honor to inform you that retirement pay (pension) received by retired government employee is not subject to income tax and, therefore, the recipient need not file an income tax return. cdta Very truly yours, (SGD.)
