December 14, 1972 Malilipot Weaving Center Malilipot, Albay Attention: Mr . Edesio J . Bitantes General Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated November 28, 1972 requesting for a ruling as to whether or not you are required to keep separate books of accounts in your factory or place of production. acd It is represented that your enterprise is a NACIDA registered export producer under Registration No. BRIOI-689; that your Office is situated in Sta. Mesa Market, Quezon City where your books of accounts are kept; that all sales and business transactions are made in said office at Sta. Mesa, Quezon City; and that the sales or transactions are made in your factory at Malilipot, Albay except production. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that if as represented that no sales or transactions are made in your factory at Malilipot, Albay except production, you need not keep a separate set of books of accounts in said place of production provided that memoranda of transactions therein are kept and duly taken up in the books of accounts of your office in Sta. Mesa, Quezon City; otherwise, the factory establishment should be provided with separate books of accounts. Very truly yours, MISAEL P. VERA Commissioner of Internal Revenue
