Gutierrez Gentlemen : This refers to your letter, dated April 14, 1969, requesting confirmation on behalf of your client, Blue Bar Coconut Philippines, Inc., to the effect that the payment by your client of the taxes withheld by it at source is not subject to any penalty, interest or surcharge attendant to late payment. Considering the effectivity of Republic Act No. 5431 which operates beginning July 1, 1968, it is hereby confirmed that the payment of the taxes withheld at source by your client, not latter than April 15, 1969, is not subject to any interest, penalty or surcharge. aisadc Very truly yours, (SGD.)
