July 7, 1969 Mr. Arsenio Reyes 1823 Colorado, Malate Manila S i r : In reply to your letter dated June 11, 1969, I have the honor to inform you that the informer's reward provided for under Republic Act No. 2338 is only for information furnished on the commission of fraud against an internal revenue law or violation of any provisions thereof. The information on violation of the Assessment Law (CA No. 470), not being covered by Republic Act No. 2338, is not entitled to reward. The other laws which provide reward to informers who furnish information on smuggling are Republic Act Nos. 4712 and 4713. cdll Very truly yours, (SGD.) MISAEL P.
