June 3, 1976 Mr. Herminigildo Villarica Handicrafts Unlimited Pit-os, Talamban Cebu City S i r : This refers to your letter dated June 5, 1975 requesting exemption from the payment of fixed and percentage taxes under the provisions of the NACIDA law. Investigation show that you are engaged in shellcraft industry, manufacturing shell necklaces; that you started operation on July 1975, with a capital investment of P500.00; that you are registered with the NACIDA under Certificate of Registration No. 04385 dated June 2, 1975; that you have in your employ six (6) relatives; and that your business facilities consists of machines for cutting and cleaning of shells. In reply thereto, I have the honor to inform you that under the foregoing circumstances, you are exempt from the payment of fixed and percentage taxes pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 3470, as amended by Republic Act No. 5326 and Presidential Decree No. 817. aisa dc Very truly yours, EFREN I.
